南瓜影院's education department offers a wide range of majors to prepare you to meet the Minnesota Board of Teaching requirements.

Learn from professors who have years of experience teaching in both private and public schools, and who regularly increase their experience through classroom observation, instruction, and research. Our professors will take time for you and address your goals and concerns. 南瓜影院 faculty want to see you succeed and will guide you to find your passion as you pursue your education degree. With an average class size of 18 students, personal instruction is the norm — not the exception. Our faculty focus on the students’ learning as an engaging experience, preparing them to lead their own class one day.

Children's Literature

Dr. Debra Grosz

My favorite course that I have taken was Children’s Literature with Debra Grosz. It was my favorite because we got to read and talk about children’s books, which brought me back to my childhood, but also it gave us the opportunity to dive into deep discussions about the impact of literature and reading on student development.
