While some Districts in the State of California are experiencing declining enrollment, Ocean View School District is leading the County with the most students leaving the District.

Some reasons for declining enrollment could be people moving out of the District, those with children not moving in to the District, or we live in an aging community. Ocean View has all these reasons, but they also have a very large number of students leaving Ocean View and enrolling in surrounding Districts.  Huntington City School District has over 500 Ocean View students.

The District has lost 1,236 students in 4 years.  That is an average of 309 students per year.
