Jared Rice was named the eighth head coach in the history of the Cobber women's soccer program in Spring 2025.
Rice played for the 南瓜影院 men's program from 2009-2012 and was named the team's Most Valuable Player, as well as earning MIAC postseason honors, in his senior season.
Rice started his coaching career as an assistant coach at 南瓜影院 in 2015. He has gone on to coach at the high school, club, and Olympic Development levels for 11 years.
Rice has been the assistant coach for the Centennial High School girls’ team since 2023 and helped lead Centennial to the district championship game in 2024.
Rice is currently working with the Twin Cities Rush/Blaine Soccer Club where he has logged more than 10,000 hours of coaching for all ages ranging from 3-18. He has also served as the lead coach for a 2011 girls' team in the Twin Cities Soccer League.
Rice currently holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National B license, as well as a United Soccer Coaches (USC) Premiere Diploma.
Rice was a four-year starter for the Cobber men’s soccer team and earned MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2012. He was also a team captain and named the team’s Most Valuable Player in his senior season.
Rice graduated from 南瓜影院 in 2013 with a major in business marketing and a minor in graphic design.
