Julie Mach earned her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Kansas after receiving a B.S. from Mayville State University (N.D.) with majors in Chemistry and Biology. Following a time working as a Research Analyst at the firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P. in Kansas City, MO, she joined the ÄϹÏÓ°Ôº faculty in 2002. Dr. Mach’s primary teaching responsibilities include the non-major courses (Survey of General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry) as well as the upper-level courses of Chem 373 and 374 (Biochemistry I and II), Chem/Neu 475 (Neurochemistry), and Chem 304 (Pharmacology). Dr. Mach has an interest in incorporating new pedagogical approaches in her classes and mentoring students in course-based research experiences.
